Upcoming Concert

Hello Laker Band Fans!

Not sure if anyone is still checking the band blog but just in case, I thought I would put a shout out about the concert coming up on
Monday April 28.
This time the district calendar is correct and the concert is set for
7:30pm
in the HS auditorium. We are expecting great things at the spring concert this year after almost an entire school year of practice leading up to this event.

Of course with Prom on the Saturday before the concert and post-prom activities that stretch into the wee hours of Sunday, I hope the band kids who attend prom are not too tired or crabby come Monday :)

Following the concert, I will be posting some pictures and clips for the band members and their massive following of friends and family.

In other band news, three members of the PLHS Wind Ensemble were selected as members of the All-State Band for 2008-2009.

What an awesome accomplishment!

All band parents and guardians should have received the invitation last week to the Band Awards Reception coming up in May. All seniors' invitations should have included a notice regarding pictures needed for the traditional senior slide show.
