A Pep Surprise!

As a surprise for Mr K, a group of upper class pep band members, under the direction of a PLHS band alum, played for the TOY reception. When the band began to play in the HS commons, Mr K was two floors above finishing up at his in-service workshop that afternoon. The facilitator in the classroom said Mr K got a quizzical look on his face as he heard the faint sound of band music coming from somewhere in the building. He then realized it sounded like "Holiday," a song his pep band plays but he didn't know of any pep band event that day as the students were off school. Hmmmmmmm? He wondered...

Mr K then descended to the commons to the strains of "Band to the Bone," and he soon saw the pep ensemble playing at the foot of the stairs. The pep band members were dressed in festive Hawaiian attire for the occasion. Stay tuned for a clip or two from this unexpected event.
