6 days to go!

With just under a week to go until departure, the excitement is building! Today's travel tips/reminders are for those who have never flown before or are infrequent fliers.

All liquids in your carry-on bag (so the bag you take through security and on the plane with you) must be 3 oz. or less and must be inside a 1 quart clear zip bag. You are only allowed one zip bag. You may bring an empty water bottle and fill it once you have passed through security. Keep the zip bag near the top of your bag so you can pull it out at the security check point.

Also, no sharp objects like scissors or pocket knives are permitted in your carry-on.  These will be confiscated and not returned.

Wear comfortable shoes AND socks, please no flip flops. You will have to remove your shoes for security and you will be walking a lot in the airports.

Be sure your passport is on your person, not in your checked bag.

Do not lock your checked bags as these need to be accessible for airport and airline security personnel.

Please refer to the baggage guidelines for both your checked and carry-on bags to stay within the size and weight limits.

Ideas for your carry-on bag:
MP3/ipod and headphones
deck of cards/travel games
granola bars/snacks/fruit
book/magazines/puzzle book
pencil or pen
camera/batteries
contact case/glasses
inflatable travel pillow
chapstick/lip balm
homework?

If you have any questions or concerns, please ask any of the chaperones.
