Today's Travel Tip

With just two weeks to go, let's review some items brought to your attention at the March 1st meeting...

Students are strongly encouraged to leave cell phones at home. If you do plan to bring a cell phone, please check with your carrier about international service and rates.  Unlimited free texting at home does not apply overseas.  Gotta love the dad at the meeting who asked for suggestions about how to wean his daughter from her phone in preparation for the trip :)

Visa gift cards do not work overseas.  If students bring debit or credit cards, please contact your bank to let them know there will be charges appearing March 20-27 from Spain.  If the debit card requires a PIN, make sure the student knows it.

If you can, you might want to get some Euros at your local bank before the trip rather than making currency exchanges at the airport as you will get a better exchange rate.

Try to stay healthy in the days ahead by getting plenty of rest, eat a balanced diet and keep hydrated.  Yes, we're talking about teenagers here but it can't hurt to reiterate the suggestion...

Stay tuned for more trip tips and information to come.
