After a snowy start on Friday morning and a 4 hour delay in Chicago for the UA group, we all arrived safely on Saturday evening in Beijing (China time is 13 hours ahead of home).
This morning the kids awoke to having been visited by the Easter bunny in what the moms on the trip were calling "Operation Egg Drop in Beijing". Breakfast was awesome, lots of International and American items to choose from. I enjoyed the bread pudding and the fried bread dough along with fresh fruits and vegetables and green tea :) I saw kids with piles of French toast, eggs, mini doughnuts, noodles, and more.
The kids were amazingly wide awake this morning, at least most of them. We head out shortly for our first sight-seeing, lunch, and then our afternoon performance.
There was a good turn out for the optional Easter gathering this morning with an inspirational message given by the band president.
